El Sobrante, Rodeo and Pinole

About El Sobrante Real Estate

El Sobrante located in West Contra Costa (between Richmond and Pinole), means remaining land, leftover or surplus.  The San Pablo dam supplying drinking water to many in the county runs through the north-east portion of El Sobrante.  Nestled in a valley surrounded by rolling hills many of the homes offer pastoral hill views and larger lots with plenty of elbow room.

There may not be a sidewalk though as El Sobrante is an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County and has no city government.  The population, estimated at about 12,500, can enjoy plenty of hiking trails leading through Wildcat Canyon Regional Park and the San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area. El Sobrante real estate is the choice for many people looking to find a balance and escape from the fast pace inner city life style. Plenty of shops, restaurants and affordable homes add to the allure of El Sobrante living.

Feagley Realtors has been involved in development projects throughout El Sobrante and the surrounding cities for many years. Feagley Realtors has listed and sold properties in El Sobrante for decades. People coming to the bay area are always surprised to know there is a somewhat rural and beautiful community in Contra Costa that is affordably priced by Bay Area standards, and a great place to find your “home in the country”.  We at Feagley Realtors are always ready to help and be a part of the home buying journey.

About Rodeo Real Estate

Rodeo is a small West Contra Costa city that hugs the San Pablo bay with quick access to the I-80 and I-4 freeways. Known for its humble beginnings as a rancher’s livestock thoroughfare for driving cattle from the neighboring hills to the loading docks on the shoreline. Rodeo is a quiet city of 8,500 with the median home prices at about $400,000. One of the last cities before crossing the Carquinez Bridge into Solano County. It is a short drive to nearby Berkeley and Oakland to the south and Napa’s wine country to the north. Jerry Feagley has been involved in the development of various multi-unit projects in Rodeo and continues to work with investors looking to do business there.

About Pinole Real Estate

Known for its many turn of the century buildings Pinole is a quite community. Just four square miles, much of Pinole is positioned on gently rolling hills just off the shores of the San Pablo bay. Pinole is an east bay, West Contra Costa Real Estate jewel.  Much of Pinole was developed in the 1950’s and features California Ranch-style homes.  Prices range from the mid $400’s to mid $600,000’s in the Pinole Valley with many properties offering tranquil, bucolic views of the hills.  Pinole (From the Aztec word Pinolli) meaning grounded grain or seed dates back to the 1800’s where it was a shipping port for all the nearby ranches selling product up and down the coast. Its downtown is preserved by the city as a historic area.

Pinole hosts many community events through-out the year – antique car shows, Octoberfest and a summer concert and family movie series in Fernandez Park.  There is a local Farmers market held every weekend, productions in the local community and High School Theater, and of course, an annual tree-lighting ceremony.  The extremely active Pinole Senior Center is host to Pancake Breakfasts, arts and crafts fairs and a myriad of classes including Pilates and Yoga. Our agents know Pinole well and have helped many of our clients and their families purchase homes in this suburban location with the small town feel.
